The 7th APCEA Business Presentation Contest, organized by the Asia-Pacific Communication Exchange Association (APCEA), ended successfully on March 19 at the University of Macau after several rounds of division contests, semi-finals and finals. Six teams from tertiary institutions in Macau and Zhuhai competed vigorously for the top three prizes, namely the Grand Prize, the Prize of Business Plan and the Prize of Visual Creativity. Team ‘V-topia’ from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai won the first prize in the final contest. Team ‘Viva La Vida’ from Macau University of Science and Technology won the Prize of Business Plan. The team of ‘Elite’ from Institute for Tourism Studies, Macau won the Prize of Visual creativity. The most popular speaker is Guan Jianshi from the team ‘V-topia’. The theme of the 7th ABPC is ‘A Bite of Macau’. Competition teams need to plan a business project which aims at promoting the image of Macau in a more creative manner. The proposal should include a general design, the source of funding and expected effect and return, etc... In the final round of the competition, participating teams need to do a presentation within 10 minutes and a Q & A session of two minutes. APCEA Business Presentation Contest, initiated in Macau in 2010 and sponsored by Macao Foundation, has been enjoying a good reputation among Macau and its surrounding areas in virtue of its high English level and professional practicality. It has become an essential brand activity for Macau. APCEA, the organizer of the contest, is a non-profit organization registered in Macau. Using Macau as a platform, APCEA aims to support scholars in the communication and media field and promote academic exchange activities, accelerating the development of communication in the Asian-Pacific Region and attracting more academic activities to Macau regarding the field of communication, education, English and business communication.
