The theme of the 8th ABPC is 'Boa Vida Macau'.

Competition teams need to plan a business project which aims at promoting the image of Macau in a more creative manner. The proposal should include a general design, the source of funding and expected effect and return, etc..

In the final round of the competition, participating teams need to do a presentation within 10 minutes.

Each team should have 2-5 members.

The 8th APCEA Business Presentation Contest has two contest divisions: Macau/Hong Kong division and Zhuhai division. All full-time students in universities and colleges in Macau and Hong Kong are qualified for participating in the Macau/Hong Kong division contest. The Zhuhai division contest is organized by the Guangdong Vocational College this year. The information below is only applicable for participants in the Macau/HK division contest.

1. Nov. 20, 2017 - Feb. 10, 2018, participating students should send the application forms, together with abstracts of the presentation scripts (maximum 800 words) and PPTs (maximum 15 slides) to info@asiapacificom.org..
2. The Macau/HK Division-Finals will be held on Mar. 17, 2018 (Saturday) in the University of Macau (Hengqin).
3. The Grand Finals will be held on Mar. 18, 2018 (Sunday) in the University of Macau (Hengqin).
4. From Feb. 11, 2018 to Feb. 17, 2018, 10 teams will be selected by a panel of judges, based on the contents of the scripts, and be qualified for the Macau/HK Division-Finals. The list of the Division-Finalist teams will be announced to the public.
5. On Mar. 17, 2018 (Sat.), the 10 Macau/HK Division-Finalists will showcase their business plans in front of a panel of judges. The judges will give comments on the performance of the Division-Finalist teams and the top 4 will be notified as Grand finalists.
6. On Mar. 18, 2018 (Sun.), the Grand Finals will be held with 4 teams from the Macau/HK division and 2 teams from the Zhuhai division. Top 3 will be selected and be awarded the top three prizes.

(1) Application & Collection of PPTs

  Participating students should form a team composed of 2 to 5 persons (maximum 5 persons) and team members can come from the same university or from different universities.

All the scripts and PPTs are required to be written in English.

(2) Selection of Macau/HK Division-Finalists

  The selection committee will review and evaluate the submissions of the business plan on the basis of creativity, practicality, feasibility of the business plan, clarity in presentation and proficiency in English language. The top 10 teams will be notified and they will be invited as Division-Finalists.

(3) Division-Finals

  Each of the 10 Division-Finalist teams will showcase their business plans in front of a panel of judges. They will be evaluated in terms of persuasiveness, content relevancy and professionalism in delivery. The top 4 teams will be notified and invited as Grand Finalists.
The qualified top 10 Division-Finalists will be divided into two sessions, each featuring 5 teams. The duration for each team's presentation should be limited to 10 minutes. After the presentation of the 5 teams in a session, the judges will comment on the performance of each team.

(4) Grand Finals

  Each of the 6 Grand Finalist teams will showcase their business plans in front of a panel of judges and audience. They will be judged on the basis of persuasiveness, content relevancy, and professionalism in delivery. There will also be a Q & A session. The judges will make a final assessment and announce the results of the competition on the spot.
The Grand Final three winners will be chosen and awarded prizes. Depending on the fund raising efforts, prizes may vary. The Grand Prize is MOP5,000, the Prize of Business Plan is MOP3,000, and the Prize of Visual Creativity is MOP2,000. The rest three teams will receive the Participation Prize of MOP800 respectively. There is also one 'Most Popular Prize Speaker Prize' voted by the audience. The prize is MOP500.
